Summary
National Director of Retail Operations – Military Channel
We are seeking a highly talented National Director of Retail Operations to be responsible for supporting all Retail initiatives within our Military channel. This person will work closely with Retail management, members of senior office management, as well as Client and Customer contacts to maintain Retail effectiveness. Will be the Retail point of contact on National and identified strategic Clients’ Retail-only initiatives.
Responsibilities
Achieve Retail objectives through frequent and consistent interactions with Clients, Customers, and key Company personnel.
Responsible for developing score carding and Retail excellence strategies as part of the Company’s operational excellence initiatives.
Accomplish specific business/Client goals and objectives by establishing a business plan based on season and demand, directing Retail appropriately, and organizing priorities.
Control expense/budget by aggressively and proactively managing Retail funds and labor expenses; provide oversight and management of all DRT P&L related activity.
Achieve operational requirements and maintain staff through the recruiting, training, counseling, monitoring, appraising, and disciplining of associates, including all compliance and safety-related aspects.
Increase Retail effectiveness by communicating and reporting all competitive information, consumer complaints, and Customer and Client concerns.

Position Summary
The Director of Retail Operations (DRO) is responsible for supporting all Retail initiatives within a regional scope to ensure Client and Customer Retail standards are met and volume is increased. This person works closely with Retail management, members of senior office management, as well as, Client and Customer contacts to maintain Retail effectiveness.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Customer Relations (Internal/External)
Achieve Retail objectives through frequent and consistent interactions with Clients, Customers, and key Company personnel
Retail point of contact on National and identified strategic Clients’ Retail-only initiatives
Responsible for developing score carding and Retail excellence strategies as part of the Company’s operational excellence initiatives
Project Scheduling/Coordination/Management/Maintenance
- Accomplish specific business/Client goals and objectives by establishing a business plan based on season and demand, directing Retail appropriately, and organizing priorities
Budget/Expense Control
Control expense/budget by aggressively and proactively managing Retail funds and labor expenses
Provide oversight and management of all DRT P&L related activity
Supervisory
- Achieve operational requirements and maintain staff through the recruiting, training, counseling, monitoring, appraising, and disciplining of associates, including all compliance and safety related aspects
Administration/Reporting
Increase Retail effectiveness by communicating and reporting all competitive information, consumer complaints, and Customer and Client concerns
Maintain historical Retail data by tracking and auditing promotions, price surveys, store audits, Client contests, reset activity, and other Retail initiatives
Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct Reports
Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
Indirect Reports
May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
Travel and/or Driving Requirements
Travel and Driving are essential duties and function of this job
Travel up to 60%
Minimum Qualifications
Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Field of Study/Area of Experience: Business Management, Marketing or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience as a Retail Sales Manager or Retail Operations Manager within the Sales and Marketing industry
3-5 years Business Management experience
5+ Supervisory experience

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
