Summary

Lead Warehouse Quality Control

The Warehouse Lead Quality Control (WS) is responsible for providing guidance, instruction, training, and leadership skills to inspire the team to perform at their optimum. They are will need to ensure documented Quality Assurance procedures are followed throughout the kitting process and lifecycle of project. This includes building test kits to the specifications of client work orders, gaining approval of those test kits prior to releasing to the production floor, checking outgoing products to ensure that they are free of defects and produced according to internal specifications and external guidelines.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Ensuring Team Members meet deadlines for key projects and tasks

• Address any concerns or issues identified by team members

• Delegating tasks to team members

• Review Work Orders and build test kits prior to actual kitting and fulfillment of project

• Take photos of test kits and all materials used in the test kit and send to Project Management team to secure final approval prior to kits being built and shipped.

• Work with Project Management team to correct test kits if not initially approved.

• Perform Quality Checks in real time as kits are being assembled on production line to ensure continued accuracy through the life cycle of that project.

• Identify and correct errors on production line in collaboration with Production Specialist or Lead.

• Test parts or products using a variety of techniques, checking that specifications are met and that the product works as intended. 

• Responsible for identifying kitting defects or potential issues and determining what to do to resolve the issue

• Sending the product back through certain stages of the kitting process or pulling a kitting project entirely if it does not meet expected standards of quality

Record Keeping

• Save Quality Control Photos and approvals in designated folders on work servers

• Scan daily QC checklists and save to work servers

Facility

• Maintain a clean and hazard-free workplace

• Follow all rules related to OSHA and other compliance-related activities

• Report all infractions or observed safety issues to Warehouse Manager

• Perform end-of-shift cleaning as directed by Warehouse Manager

Minimum Qualifications The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required):High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience:

• 1-3 years of Quality Assurance or general warehouse work

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment

• Ability to complete multiple duties with accuracy shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines

• Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills

• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

• Ability to work independently or with a team

• Ability to work effectively with management

• Ability to perform the job safely by using safety techniques and practices

• Must read and write English

Environmental & Physical Requirements

Office / Non-Sedentary Requirements

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work may be performed in an office or warehouse environment. Typically requires the ability to spend 66%+ hours each work day doing the following activities: stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, stoop, or climb. May have possible exposure to dust, and may require the ability to lift and/or push up to 50 pounds 33% - 66% of the time.
