Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with VP Client Services to align and prioritize tactical activities to support strategic sales and EBITDA plans.

  • Collaborates with Client Services Managers, Business Operations, Strategy/Analytics, and Shared Services to ensure effective communication and successful event planning and execution throughout the supply chain.

  • Work with Leadership and Cross-Functional Teams to gather and monitor client intelligence, build client executive business relationships, and manage execution readiness and resource alignment.

  • Identify and articulate innovative sales practices.

  • Responsible for quantifying each potential new business opportunity in respect to revenue and profitability in conjunction with Operations and Finance.

  • Balance corrective with positive feedback to ensure optimum guidance and performance improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required or equivalent job-related experience in Business, Marketing, Sales

  • 8+ years of experience in Sales, Project Management, Client Services & Managing a Team

  • Proven track record of reaching sales goals

  • Strong leadership ability with customers and associates

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a result driven, team-oriented environment

Job Purpose

The Associate Director Client Services & New Business Development serves as the business leader responsible for all client-related services and support activities and provides leadership in the strategic oversight of the Client Services team while providing accountability for the company’s strategic goals. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing Client Services within the Sales and Event Management Ecosystem

•Work closely with VP Client Services to align and prioritize tactical activities to support strategic sales and EBITDA plans

•Ensure accurate forecasting while monitoring performance to metrics; Standard measurements will focus on event count, actual sales, profitability, and growth percentage within the business unit

•Collaborates with Client Services Managers, Business Operations, Strategy/Analytics, and Shared Services to ensure effective communication and successful event planning and execution throughout the supply chain

•Align Client Services resources with opportunities

Drive and Optimize Existing Accounts

•Target opportunities for growth, support the development of winning proposals, and maintain opportunity momentum to expand client revenue

•Work with Leadership and Cross Functional Teams to gather and monitor client intelligence, build client executive business relationships, and manage execution readiness and resource alignment

•Partner with Cross Functional Teams on the development of reports (i.e. weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews) for all necessary stakeholders to review and improve business impact

New Business Development

•Identify and articulate innovative sales practices

•Work independently to generate own leads within key customers

•Develop long term relationships within key customer/client targets

•Develop and deliver sales and capabilities presentations and have a clear understanding of the competitive landscape

•Work closely with VP Client Services / Cross Functional teams to ensure customer’s expectations are met and overall business plans and strategies are achieved

•Build and manage internal cross-functional teams of subject matter experts and/or to ensure business wins (IT, Finance, etc.)

•Responsible for quantifying each potential new business opportunity in respect to revenue and profitability in conjunction with Operations and Finance

•Coordinate objectives of the overall business development plan with all of the functional departments of the company as necessary

•Lead the development and implementation of an overall business development marketing strategy including competitive analysis and obtaining approval from senior management teams

•Prepare monthly and quarterly updates to the plan as needed and communicate updates to VP Client Services and management team

Coaching for Sales Results

•Observe team member behavior to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement

•Balance corrective with positive feedback to ensure optimum guidance and performance improvement

Minimum Qualifications: The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Business, Marketing, Sales

  • 8+ years of experience in Sales, Project Management, Client Services & Managing a Team

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
