Product Manager

Adlucent is looking for a Product Manager (PM) to serve as an interdepartmental liaison who seeks to understand our client & account team’s needs and helps to satisfy those needs by prioritizing requests, communicating product requirements to the Technology teams. In addition, the PM proactively identifies and addresses gaps with the capabilities of our technology products relative to the changing landscape of performance marketing, the needs of Adlucent and Client users, and the competition.

  • Assist in defining product roadmap, planning, and execution of new features

  • Evaluate the internal technical needs of the organization and recommend solutions

  • Lead user interviews in order to gather insights for requirements, specs & wireframes

  • Actively manage product plans, quality of deliverables, dependencies, and outcomes to ensure that the product objectives are achieved on time

  • Prioritize user requirements and communicate the with Development to develop technical specifications according to user needs

  • Assist with product testing (QA) to ensure quality of new features and enhancements

  • Collaborate with the Training team to drive product awareness, increase adoption & create documentation/facilitate training as needed.

  • Track market trends and interface with users to drive product direction and ensure capabilities meet team needs and satisfaction goals

  • Serve as subject matter expert on product(s) and possess high level of technical acumen


  • 4+ years experience working as a Product Manager on multiple (3+) digital products, especially web apps and API development.

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong time management and organizational skills

  • Able to effectively communicate with a variety of audiences (CS team, Leadership, and Clients)

  • Ability to lead horizontally and complete projects involving multiple departments

  • Good at interviewing to unravel an issue to its core revealing deeper insights than initially obvious.

  • Can take one or more problems and connect them to a larger theme to solve more than one thing at a time

  • Can thrive in a fast-paced and fluid environment, coping well with ambiguity

Great to Have:

  • Some experience or knowledge of digital marketing and advertising

  • Technical background or hands-on knowledge or experience with at least one programming language (e.g. Javascript, Python, PHP, Java, etc.)

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) products (e.g. BigQuery)

  • Proficiency in SQL

Position Summary

The Product Manager manages company-wide products throughout the product lifecycle. This position will collaborate with business stakeholders to define the vision and scope of the product, develop a roadmap, and identify key measures of success. This individual will serve in a cross-functional role, executing project management, and leading the execution and delivery of assigned projects. This position will also be responsible for the design of complex transformational strategies and maximizing the business value of products, managing major product lines, and bringing those products to market.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Product Management

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define product scope and goals.

  • Lead efforts to gather and translate business requirements into system specifications.

  • Gain a deep understanding of business processes, use cases, and data needs of stakeholders.

  • Define product roadmap, including features/milestones for major and minor releases.

  • Partner with Executive Stakeholders to build consensus.

  • Evaluate the suitability of various platforms and technologies, suggest alternative approaches and recommend technical solutions, methodologies or strategies.

  • Perform research to commercialize a product line

  • Managing major systems and platforms

Strategic Planning

  • Work with Leadership to develop product portfolios for IT Service offerings. Develop a strategy for the implementation and rollout of these service offerings.

  • Utilize a wide array of analytical and design tools to understand and address the needs of the enterprise (running workshops, stakeholder interviews, secondary research, working with specialists).

  • Network and collaborate with business units in the company to assess needs across the various business units and identify strategic opportunities to consolidate systems and capabilities.

  • Consult with business units to understand current business processes and provide recommendations on how to leverage technology to streamline processes.

Minimum Qualifications

The following are the minimum job-related qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the job

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Must have an undergraduate degree in business, management information systems, computer science or equivalent job-related experience. PMI Certification is desired but not required.

  • 5+ years of experience in in project management of varied complexities and scope.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills

• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment

• Ability to work effectively with management

• Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically

• Ability to be creative in designing products

• Previous experience taking a product line to market is preferred

• Flexible and adaptable, able to change and alter according to changes in projects or business environment

• Proficient in Project Management tools (i.e., MS Project) or similar project tool (s)

• Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers

Environmental & Physical Requirements:

Office / Sedentary Requirements: Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Typically requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time (66%+ each day), ability to hear the telephone, ability to enter data on a computer and may also require the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
