Summary

The Advantage Innovation Incubator (InnovInc) exists to draw forth and cultivate strategic growth opportunities that emerge from within the Advantage enterprise.The Marketing and Project Manager will serve as a critical member of theInnovIncteam, responsible for supporting innovation champions by performing research, developing strategy and positioning, and adhering to defined timelines and reporting cadence. The goal of InnovInc is to bring new opportunities from the idea stage to fully functional businesses that can be resettled within the respective business units once proven. A successful candidate possesses the ability to simultaneously manage details across multiple projects, communicate information succinctly and effectively and to maintain a positive, growth mindset to address the myriad of obstacles that are inherent to entrepreneurial endeavours.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to source and evaluate innovation projects from the enterprise.

  • Help develop and optimize processes to facilitate the project selection.

  • Work with the team to develop business development strategies that support both the creation of MVPs as well as resettlement of the business within the affiliated business unit.

  • Proactively help to develop and manage project timelines throughout the incubation process.

  • Drive the development of primary and secondary research to support concept validation and go-to-market positioning.

  • Lead the development and support the delivery of all communication materials needed to communicate progress to stakeholders within and outside of Advantage.

  • Support the Advantage communications team to position the efforts of InnovInc into outbound messaging related to broader Advantage priorities.

  • Establish process to streamline collaboration and communication between InnovInc team members and with other Advantage stakeholders.

Requirements/Skills:

  • BA/BS Degree is required, in Marketing Communications or related fields strongly preferred.

  • 3 – 5 years of marketing/brand experience is required.

  • Proactive and assertive self-starter that is comfortable with project ownership.

  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to establish credibility and rapport with people of all levels.

  • Ability to effectively balance and prioritize various projects with flexibility and attention to detail.

  • Strong organization and asset/project management skills.

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

  • Previous B2B or agency experience in marketing strategy with a focus on inbound, project management & marketing program collateral development is strongly preferred.

  • Limited travel may be required.

  • Employee can be based anywhere in the United States.

Position Summary

The role of the Senior Project Manager is to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to project deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of creative & technology team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Senior Project Manager will also assist in defining the project’s objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle. The Senior Project Manager will also be tasked with assisting in refining internal processes and enforcing adherence to process amongst the agency. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for tracking and reporting project and program financials to internal team members.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage project from beginning to end.

  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.

  • Review full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.

  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.

  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.

  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

  • Track project milestones and deliverables.

  • Gain approval on projects among the various departments by routing projects.

  • Develop and deliver progress reports and requirements documentation.

  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to creative/technology team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.

  • Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with account management and stakeholders.

  • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary or validate budgets provided.

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.

  • Define and manage resource allocation throughout project lifecycle

  • On a weekly basis, allocate creative & technology staff to ensure all work can be completed.

  • Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.

  • Determine and assess need for additional creative & technology staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.

  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.

  • Present to key clients and stakeholders

  • Present to internal leadership teams

  • Assist in driving departmental structure and goals

  • Assist in supervising / mentoring junior team members

  • Lead agency onboarding and training

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required): Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • 5 - 8 years ‘experience in the integrated project management space

  • Experience mentoring more junior Project Managers

  • Working knowledge of digital, print, event, tech, and content production (interactive design, HTML, Flash, video, etc)

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
